Arden A.M. (6am classes)-
Derived and influenced from Hatha yoga, Arden A.M. focuses on holding poses and integrating your breathing into the movement. This class is a great way to stretch, work your muscles, get in touch with your body, relax, de-stress and get ready to start your day!

Arden Power Flow- Derived and influenced from Iyengar Yoga, Arden Power Flow is designed to build balance, strength and endurance. This class is a workout. You will move quickly from one pose to another. There is little focus on meditation in this class. This class is a tough, physically-challenging workout.

Arden Lunch- Arden Lunch is a condensed form of our Arden A.m. yoga class. This class is shorter in time to ensure everyone has time to get back to work. This class has fewer meditation and breathing exercises than the A.M. yoga. This is a great class to squeeze into your day if you are pinched for time or if you just need to unwind during your lunch hour.

Arden Sculpt- Arden Sculpt combines our power yoga class with light weight work. When adding weights to our usual practice, it allows for even deeper stretching and deeper toning of the muscle. And if that isn’t enough to switch up your routine, we even sneak some cardio intervals in! Add this to you weekly yoga rotation and see a difference in your figure and flexibility.

Arden core pilates (mat)- Arden Core Pilates is a fast-paced class that incorporates Yoga’s smooth movement from one exercise to the next with little to no stopping, while focusing on Pilates moves that specifically target the core. Mat work is an integral part of Pilates: Instead of using spring resistance from Pilates equipment, you use your body weight against gravity. This is a great way to strengthen your abdominals and pelvic stabilizing muscles.

All levels are welcome in all classes. All poses can be modified to fit any level of strength, flexibility or balance. Yoga is a very low-impact practice, so all ages and body types are encouraged to join any of our classes.

Class Etiquitte: Arrive early (aim for 15 minutes; if you're late, please enter class quietly.) Talk to the Teacher (if you have any injuries, please let the instructor know ahead of time) Remove your Shoes (yoga is best practiced barefoot) Relish the quiet (try to keep talking to a minimum and silence phones) Stay til the End (don't skip out on Savasana -- it's an important part of your practice!)

Our instructors
Kira Whitaker is the owner of Arden Yoga and Wellness. She holds an active Tennessee nurse's license, Wound Care Certification, 40 hour Intravenous Therapy Certification, and CPR Certification, along with being a certified yoga instructor. Kira is 25 years old and a native of Winchester, Tennessee. She and her husband Boone have a two-year-old son, Ory. Kira's goal in establishing Arden Wellness is to provide a place to help individuals of all ages and genders lead a better lifestyle. Arden Yoga and Wellness was created to give people their independence back when it comes to their own health.  Sarah Porterfield began studying yoga eight years ago as a tool to improve her health and to de-stress. Coming from a background in dance, Sarah always came back to yoga as her favorite way to exercise--despite trying almost anything. She is now certified in Pilates and Yoga. Sarah says she loves both of these exercise regimens because of how gentle they are on the body while delivering noticeable results and, best of all, a clearer mind. When she's not yoga-ing, Sarah works for local literacy non-profit Read To Succeed and lives in Murfreesboro with her husband and three-year-old daughter.
Caitlin Annie Hines was born and raised in Anaheim, California. She's been active her whole life, beginning with competitive swimming at 6 and softball at 5. She began playing on a travel softball team at 10, and her team qualified for Nationals. She was recruited by MTSU to play softball. A lifetime of athletics left her with an injured back from heavy weight lifting, so she found yoga as a way to further her physical advancement while nursing her injuries and fell in love. Caitlin now teaches at Smyrna Elementary and lives with her husband, whom she met at MTSU. Caitlin teaches Arden Power Flow and Arden Sculpt.   Lexie grew up in Chicago, IL. She moved to Seattle, WA for college. While living in Seattle, she fell in love with yoga. Lexie loves the physical and emotions benefits one gets from a regular practice. After living in WA and California for 13 years, Lexie and her husband along with their daughters moved to Murfreesboro in 2010. They had their third daughter this past June. Lexie got her 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher Certification from YogaWorks last winter. Lexie teaches yoga with flow, with a lot of sun salutations and breath control.

The first visit and consultation:
$60/1 hour.

If all information needed is prepared and brought with you,
one hour should be plenty of time for an initial consultation.
During your first wellness consult, you will go over a list of
things such as your current diet, medications, exercise, work,
lifestyle, etc. You will then decide on what your goal is for
yourself and how you want Arden Wellness to help you meet
those goals. After that goal is set, we will help you modify
that goal and make it one that is achievable for the
lifestyle you have and want, through meal planning, exercise
and class scheduling, and referrals to other specialists if needed.

A piece of meat the size of your palm? More than anything, be honest with yourself and Arden Wellness about your intakes on your food log. There is no judgment at our center. We are here to help you reach your goals and have a happier lifestyle. All Wellness plans will be designed to fit individuals, including lifestyle, home life, job schedule,
income or religious beliefs.

Childcare
During our Friday 8:30a.m. classes we provide child care. Hannah Lee is our new director of youth services.

Hannah has an extensive background and education in early childhood development. We want to make your time with us at Arden Yoga & Wellness as stress free as possible-- no need to get a sitter, we've got it handled!

During the summer months when school is out, we will also have childcare during the Tuesday and Thursday 9 a.m. classes.

To register your child for youth services, you will need to log into YOUR account on MindBody. After you log into your account, you will see a tab that says "my info." Click that tab, then click the "edit" option on the Family Member tab.

Add your child's first and last name. Make sure you mark "yes" for pay for this person. Then save information. It is $6.oo for the child care room. Child care starts 10 mins before class to ensure you can get settled into the studio. There is a "Single Youth Services" visit option for purchase or a "5 for 30 package" you can purchase. If you have any trouble signing your child up we are happy to help: Just contact us and we can make sure your child is on the schedule. We are considering adding youth services to the Saturday 9a.m. class-Please give us feedback on this idea! Also, we love suggestions on class times and anything else you would like to see added at the studio. Feel free to email with suggestions at any time.
